Rhode Island Donation Exchange Program - The Furniture Bank is a valuable non-profit provider to those most in need, people who are moving from shelters to their first homes, families whose homes have burned, battered women rebuilding their lives, anyone at risk moving into a space of their own.
For a nominal fee, you can own new or gently used furniture. How? Become a client of the Rhode Island Donation Exchange Program. To qualify you must meet one or more of the following guidelines.
Low-income
Receiving no income
A Rhode Island resident
A foster parent
A victim of domestic violence
Relocating from a shelter
A fire victim
An immigrant
Receiving PIP, SSI/SSDI/TDI, food stamps, unemployment or Social Security.
